My GD Favorite Things- October

My GD Favorite Things- October

I've been sick for about two months with whooping cough. I know, who gets whooping cough?! Apparently, I do. This sickness has totally wiped me out, leaving me completely desperate for some relief. Below are some of my favorite things; things that have been keeping me alive and sane while I suffer through a gnarly cough. Here's to recovery ASAP!

1. This healthy, vegan, curry. I LOVE curry and I LOVE my slow cooker. This combines them into the perfect Rosy meal. Since I've been sick, my slow cooker is so appealing because it means a lot less work for me to prepare food. Also, I can make a lot and have leftovers!

2. This book.

I read it in two days. The movie is out now and I can't wait to see it!

It's easy to read and hooks you after the first chapter.

3. These green juices. It's tricky to find juice recipes that include greens AND taste amazing. I've tried three of these now and they are SO GOOD. Like really.

If you need a good juicer, I have this one and I love it. It's a good middle-range priced juicer and it's so easy to use it actually encourages me to juice more often.

4. This post just makes me so excited for Fall. Astrology, color energies, and a Lord of The Rings quote. I mean really, I couldn't ask for more.

5. I read this book in one sitting. It's beautifully written by a friend of mine, but that's not why I am suggesting it. It's a good read for everyone. You do not need to know children with special needs. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll recommend it to everyone. Just read it.

5. This recipe for a healthy dessert. Well, healthy-ish. I used this brand of matcha for the recipe and it was perfect.

6. This article about assisted suicide that had me in tears. Regardless of your views on this, it's a beautiful story.

7. This facial toner has completely rejuvenated my face. It cleared my acne, brightened my overall complexion, and it smells AMAZING. The best part is that it's super affordable.

8. I may have purchased this shirt in red. No regrets.

9. This article. It puts things into perspective and made me rethink what it means to "have it all."

10. This website. You're welcome.
